Ian cycles the Velo for Birmingham Children's Hospital

On Sunday 12th May our Principal Solicitor, Ian Jones, took part in the Velo Birmingham and West Midlands, cycling 100 miles through Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Warwickshire, Dudley and Sandwell.
Keen cyclist Ian completed the course in 7 hours 35 minutes, raising £300 for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
The Velo course, which started and ended in central Birmingham, included 1,500 metres of climbing.
Despite only taking up cycling in the last 18 months, Ian's training included a 75 mile ride in the Peak District so tough it is named 'The Diablo'.
Ian said "I had a great day. It was tough of course, but very enjoyable, and I'm very proud to have achieved 100 miles in the time I did. Raising money for a wonderful charity made the struggle completely worthwhile!"
Ian is getting straight back on his bike on Sunday 19th May for the 100km Round the Wrekin Sportive, and then tackling another 100 miles on Sunday 26th May at the Cyclists Fighting Cancer Sportive in Stratford.
