Ian joins the board of Birmingham Law Society
Posted on 2nd October 2024
Ian has joined the Board of Directors for Birmingham Law Society, being appointed during the Annual General Meeting on 26th September.
Birmingham Law Society was founded in 1818. It represents more than 9000 legal professionals across Birmingham and the Greater Midlands, making it the largest regional society of it's kind. As a board member, Ian will help to oversee and support the elected officers and staff in upholding the values of Birmingham Law Society, protecting the interests of its members and setting its future direction.
He will be working alongside Richard Port MBE, who was appointed President of the society at the same event. Richard's focus for the year will be to champion the voices that often go unheard, both within the Society and the wider community. As well as championing small law firms, he hopes to help encourage local young people into the legal industry and promote the benefits of building a legal career in Birmingham.
