Our Practice Manager Laura took part in a SporTea event at Queen Alexandra Charity.
Queen Alexandra is a specialist further education college offering residential services, community services and not-for-profit-Enterprises. The college supports young people with a wide range of disabilities to develop educational, vocational and independence skills.
SporTea gives students a chance to practice their vocational skills on local professionals. First, sports students teach some of the accessible sports played at the college, including wheelchair basketball, tabletop cricket, goalball and badminton. Then, in the fully-functional onsite cafe run by students, students take orders and serve cake and drinks.
The event is a great chance to network in a fun setting while supporting students to develop work skills.
