Ian features in the May/June edition of Care Home Magazine, talking about ill health and injury among employees.
This is an important are of law for the sector, which has a higher than average rate of work-related illnesses, as well as a high rate of accidents, injuries and violence towards workers.

Particularly prevalent health issues include stress, anxiety, musculoskeletal disorders and contact dermatitis, all of which have the potential to be a disability if they affect day to day activities on a long term basis.

Ian explains the difference between illness and disability, and how employers should respond when ill-health prevents employees doing their job.
