Spencer Shaw Lexcel Accredited for a third year

Lexcel is the Law Society's legal practice quality mark, promoting excellence in client service and practice management.This is our third year of being accredited, as our assessor reported “the practice has continued to excel with implementing and adhering to the firm’s Lexcel-compliant policies, plans and procedures” 

 

The assessor noted 6 areas of good practice above and beyond requirements. These included our practices across client care, risk management, file and case management, people management, and two examples of good practice in information management. Once again, our report showed no incidents of non-compliance and no suggestions for improvement. 

 

Most importantly, the report recognised that Spencer Shaw “continues to provide excellent “client care” in line with the Lexcel standards and the firm’s Client Care policy” 

 

We pride ourselves on our focus on quality of service rather than quantity of cases, which allows us to give all matters the attention they need, when they need it. So we were particularly pleased that the report notes “All the matters which were reviewed as part of this assessment are fully compliant with Lexcel, which includes being proactively managed and supervised to ensure comprehensive file matter progression and closure.” 

 

Regarding the ongoing pandemic, the report states that “The practice has successfully implemented a remote working policy and conducted a firm wide Covid-19 risk assessment. Appropriate procedures and measures are in place in line with the requirements of Lexcel and government guidelines”
