We are a small firm of Employment Law solicitors. We work with employees and employers, advising on contentious and non-contentious matters. Our Director and Principal Solicitor, Ian Jones, can provide comments and features for press or appear as a speaker on radio, TV and podcasts or at events.

MEET IAN

Ian qualified as a solicitor in 1991 having studied at the Chelmer Institute and the Chester College of Law and set up Spencer Shaw in 2007.

His experience includes taking claims on appeal to the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. He was a finalist for Partner of the Year at the Birmingham Law Society Awards 2023 and Businessman of the Year at the Birmingham Awards 2022.

Client feedback shows that Ian is able to make employment law easy to understand. Clients also comment on his calm, friendly manner, and his sense of humour.

Outside of work, Ian is a keen golfer, cyclist and rock climber and regularly takes on sporting challenges to fundraise for local charities.
